A new study by research firm Mintel has further emphasized the boom, revealing that UK sales in menswear grew by 4.8% in 2013, reaching £12.9 billion. This marks an 18% increase in five years. In addition, Mintel suggests that the menswear market isn’t showing signs of slowing down, with predictions that it’ll reach £16.4 billion by 2018, having grown 27% since 2013. Talking about the menswear industry, Ed Vaizey, Minister for Culture, Communications and the Creative Industries said: “The sector consistently punches well above its weight, and is a true powerhouse within the UK economy that outperforms all the other main industry sectors.”
With London Collections: Men spearheading a regeneration of men’s fashion, it’s clear that menswear is here to stay.
