US luxury fashion label Rodarte and & Other Stories have announced that they are joining forces in a brand new collaboration: the siblings behind Rodarte, Laura and Kate Mulleavy, will create a capsule collection for the high-street retailer for Spring 2016.
Rodarte was set up by the design duo in LA in 2005, and has since gone on to win a whole series of awards, as well a working on a number of collaborations. This partnership with & Other Stories, is the latest. "Through this special collaboration with & Other Stories, we are excited to translate the Rodarte narrative into a new environment," the sisters commented in a statement about the project. “& Other Stories' unique positioning in the fashion landscape has allowed us to create a truly special collection.”
As yet, there is no information about what the capsule collection will look like, so fans of the brand will have to be patient. It is, however, likely to feature Rodarte’s signature feminine style, which is usually given a slightly romantic, but modern, twist. The collection will include accessories, clothing as well as shoes, with the most expensive item costing around £210.

‚Äč& Other Stories has previously worked on the so-called “co-labs” of this kind with a diverse range of creative including Vika Gazinskaya, Sadie Williams and Lykke Li, amongst others.
Collaborations between luxury fashion labels and high street brands are nothing new: adidas recently partnered with Mary Katrantztou whilst Topshop has teamed up with designer labels on more than one occasion. Meanwhile H&M, which owns & Other Stories, has a long history of partnerships with some of the world’s most prestigious names, including the upcoming collection with Balmain.
The question is, which collaboration are you most excited about? Balmain x H&M or Rodarte x & Other Stories?
